No. They are plastic and not very strong. Mine all broke when the wind blew

Pinwheels and windmills are two different things. Pinwheels can be made by small children and are pieces of paper folded in 4th angles with a pin stuck in the middle of them attached to a stick. Windmills are giant structures that can harness the energy of the wind and provide alternate energy to homes or entire cities. The items in this post are really wind spinners rather than pinwheels. I don't know why the description says pinwheels, not according to my definition.
