Shuttering Oil is a highly effective release agent. Rye Oil’s shuttering oil enables concrete shuttering to be removed easily. It will always leave the edge of the concrete structure clean and well formed. Suitable for most types of form work including potable water structures. Not affected by rain after application. Great for decorative works as this product is stain free. Can be used with treated or untreated wood, steel or plastic. Benefits Of Rye Oil Ltd’s Shuttering Oil An effective rust inhibitor. Application: Apply before the first casting and thereafter re-apply immediately after stripping and cleaning the mould. Lightweight horticultural sprayers (knapsack type) are ideal as Rye Oil Ltd’s shutting oil is finely atomised to give a uniform coating. Excessive application should be avoided. Application may be made by brush, only a very thin coating should be made and any excess removed. If after the first application, the shuttering oil is completely absorbed into new timber or plywood (if applicable). Then a further application should be made before filling the moulds or formwork. Coat forms liberally before storing to keep rust free. To return forms to service, sweep down and recoat. Safety: As with all mineral oil products.
