How to install: Examine the fabric of your clothes or accessories. Fabrics such as jeans and cotton provide the best foundation for iron-on patches. Usually the fabric you choose should be at least as heavy as the patch. Check out the fabric care label to determine if it can be ironed (otherwise the iron symbol is crossed). If there is no label, try to find out which material it is. Use polyester fabrics to handle it very carefully, as the high heat required to iron stains can burn or discolour the fabric. Silk and other delicate fabrics are not good candidates for patches. Heat up an iron. Turn it to the hottest setting your fabric will tolerate. Make sure the "steam" option is deactivated and your iron is not filled with water. Place a thin towel over the stain. Be careful not to disturb the position of the plaster. The towel protects the plaster itself and the surrounding fabric. Place the heated iron on the plaster and press down. Hold the iron there for about 15 seconds. Apply as much pressure as possible by pressing down firmly. Remove the iron and allow the plaster to to cool. Lift the towel and check to see if the plaster is securely attached by gently rubbing with a finger on the edge and trying to lift it. If it raises a little, replace the towel and press it again with the iron for 10 seconds. Please consider sewing on the edges. For a fully secure patch, use a sewing machine or needle and thread to attach the patch to the fabric. This greatly reduces the likelihood of the plaster falling off. Choose a thread that matches the patch. Do not wash the item more than necessary.
